 WILDLIFE, HUNTING AND HABITAT

MAGIC MOMENTS HAPPEN AT WELLSPRING FARM

wildlifehabitat11.jpg

Deer  and turkeys thrive in the natural habitat, Rabbits and Quail nest and find shelter in the feathered areas between the fields and woodlands. Bluegill build their nests in the shallows of the pond, Bobwhites whistle, Turkeys gobble at dawn--- These small, magic moments happen everyday at Wellspring Farm.

Wellspring Farm provides a balanced, natural habitat with a heathy, diverse, and plentiful wildlife population. The natural habitat has been enhanced with forest management, native grasses and wildflowers, and food plots. Brushy trees, shrubby plants, and bushes have been encouraged in the transitional areas along the edges of the fields and woodlands. These transitional areas create escape cover, food, and nesting habitat. Row crop farming in the creek bottoms provide an important food source as well as habitat diversity. Hunting, photography, or simply watching, all available to you.

Wellspring Farm is part of an ecosystem along the Raccoon Creek watershed. Just upstream is a several hundred acre preserve managed by The Nature Conservancy, including the Green Bluff Nature Preserve. Downstream diverse habitat exists to where Raccoon Creek empties into the White River.

Wellspring Farm is the ideal setting for a hunting retreat, a nature preserve, a wildlife themed bed-and-breakfast, or simply a scenic backdrop to your family's estate experience.

AN OPPORTUNITY TO COMMUNE WITH OTHERS AND NATURE

"It’s pretty special to watch your grandchildren catch their first fish in the pond or creek and to be able to watch their excitement as a longbeard gobbler approaches the blind."
